Srila Prabhupada told a story that the hand was thinking:
“I’m always serving the stomach.
I do all the work.
I plant the seeds
and grow the plants
and harvest the grains…
and combine the ingredients
and cook…
and it goes to the stomach!
I don’t like this. I’m going to enjoy myself.”
So the hand put itself in the pot and tried to absorb the food directly.
But it didn’t work, because there is a science:
the food is meant to go to the stomach,
and then from the stomach
the nutrition and satisfaction
spread throughout the body.
